WHO YOU ARE
– You are a down to earth, friendly, and welcoming hospitality professional. You are gracious, accommodating, respectful and eager to help our guests and other team members provide an exceptional customer experience that our Vettä guests will rave about.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
– Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
– Undertake basic cooking duties, as requested.
– Light food prep such as washing and peeling vegetables and preparing take out items
– Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
– Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
– Ensure all dishes, including pots and pans are clean and sanitized and place in appropriate location. Wash items by hand as required.
– Collect and remove garbage and recycling from kitchen area, steam clean and hose out garbage bins as required
– Wash floors and ensure spills are cleaned up immediately.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL
– A positive attitude, great work ethic and willingness to learn and grow.
– High school diploma or equivalent is desirable
– Minimum 1 year experience an asset
– Food Handlers Certificate an asset
– Previous work experience in a kitchen would be an asset
– Required to work a rotating schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
– First Aid Certificate/ CPR an asset
– Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
– Perform other duties that may be required to make Vettä successful.

YOUR WORKING CONDITIONS
– Ability to work in varying temperatures
– Comfortable with walking, standing, and bending over an 8-hour period
– May be required to lift up to 30 lbs.
– Able to work in a fast-paced environment
