Job Description & Summary A career in Deals Valuation, will provide you with the opportunity to help organisations unlock greater value from existing assets and ongoing capital expenditures as well as new acquisitions, investments, and complex corporate arrangements. We focus on a series of services, such as acquisition and disposal valuation advice including deal pricing and negotiation support, strategic value consulting for improvement of corporate and capital management decisions, financial modelling and value analysis. In short, upon being a member of our team, you will support clients to make profound strategic decisions, better conduct business transactions and decisions, appropriately allocate capital investment, and satisfy regulatory requirements with professional skills and in-depth industry knowledge.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of
As a Economics and Policy Senior Associate , you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Analyze economic information obtained from various sources and synthesize the findings into a clear and concise summary
Develop an in-depth understanding of our socio-economic impact analysis methodology
Contribute to the writing of economic and industry analysis reports for clients and their various stakeholders
Work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams with clear communication to senior team members throughout the process
Conduct economic literature reviews
Work with senior members of the team to identify, scope, budget and prepare proposals for new potential engagements
Participate and/or lead at meetings with clients and act as a client contact in particular in relation to information gathering
Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve
Experience conducting economic and/or policy analyses and conducting econometric and statistical analyses
Deep interest in economics, macro-economic trends, public policy and current affairs
Strong Microsoft Excel, statistical software (e.g. Stata, EViews, R) and info-graphic software skills
Experience with non-market valuation
The successful candidate requires, in addition to French, fluency in English as they will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during the course of their employment with PwC Canada
