Farm Manager Job Details:

We are looking for an experienced person to manage a thoroughbred broodmare farm, in Gippsland, Vic.

The manager must have thorough knowledge and extensive exprience in all aspects of broodmares, foals, weanlings, yearlings and racehorses. They will work with the vet to help and co-ordinate reproductive work-up, liaising with stud farms, organising transport. Duties include foaling, pre/post-partum care, handling and education of foals, daily feeding of all horses, yearling preps, help with farrier, and general cleaning. This is a hands-on role, and the manager also needs to have good interpersonal skills to supervise and work with other staff, and trainers/owners. Good communication skills, enthusiastic attitude and good health record are desired. Excellent conditions and flexible hours. During breeding season, after hours work will be required. The manager will be provided with a mobile phone and on-site manager’s residence, rent not included. Please email your CV to [email protected]
