Legal Counsel – Government 2-5 PQE Job Details:
This expanding and thriving Local Government is one of the largest in Australia. It is working actively towards its’ vision of building a future together by collaborating with all stakeholders.
This new opportunity at Legal Counsel level will involve assisting the General Counsel with the Governance and Legal Services Unit. You will further build the capacity of the organisation to make high quality decisions, understand and mitigate risk, and assist with policies and training.
Work will involve a broad range of planning, building, commercial, property, employment law, and litigation, as you work closely with a panel of high calibre external legal providers, and a strong small legal team. You will also assist with interpreting policy.
You should have between 2 and 5 years of post admission experience. This role will see you working closely with the General Counsel to assist in carrying out the role.
