Logistics Specialist Job Details:

In order to continually promote and create innovative products that support our vision we are currently seeking a Logistics Specialist for the Owensboro, KY facility.

Major Responsibilities:


  • Maintain inventory records and daily reconciliation of inventory at outside warehouses. Responsible for control of $120,000,000 of product going through these warehouses per year.
  • Responsible for completing monthly inventory reconciliations (book to actual Physical inventory) as prescribed by our internal controls. Determine reason for differences, research, and recommend/implement changes as required.

Order Entry

  • Responsible for editing routings, correcting routing errors and creating picking documents for all warehouses.
  • Contact warehouses daily and ship confirm orders in system creating billing to our customers.

Accounts Payable

  • Responsible for reviewing, authorizing and coding for payment all warehouse replenishment freight charges, unloading and handling charges, and payment of warehouse labor bills.
  • Authorize return requests from our customers. Determine where and how they should be returned. Issue credits to the customer. File claim with freight carrier for shortages and non-recoups.
  • Review freight bills, check rates and discounts, and pay freight bills from our carriers for shipments to our customers.

Customer Service/Misc.

  • Discuss distribution functions (warehousing, tracing shipment, expediting, etc.) with our customers an average of 60/80 calls per day. Provide assistance and information required.


Education: Two year college degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience: Prior experience in Distribution, Warehousing, or Transportation. Understanding of Importing/Exporting preferred.

Skill/Knowledge: Strong interpersonal skills required. Must be able to manage numerous tasks simultaneously. Understanding of rules/regulations of U.S. Customs as well as Hazardous Materials is required. Strong PC skills a must.
