Now Hiring Maintenance Technician Apprentice! Pay Range: $19.00 progessing to $21.00 after completion of program The world needs creative solutions. We need YOU! As part of Sparta, Tennesse BASF’s North American Apprenticeship Development Program (NAADP), apprentices participate in a 30-month program offering hands-on work experience in BASF’s chemical manufacturing plants while attending community college to earn a company paid Mechatronics Technology AAS. During your time as a Maintenance Technician Apprentice you will…
- Supports Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) efforts.
- Maintain, rebuild, repair and maintain a wide variety of production, processing machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments (measurement devices, calipers, and micrometers to inspect machine parts).
- Develop mechanical skill sets, including welding, fabrication, and pipefitting skills as developing general knowledge of electrical equipment such as controllers, PLC’s, and electric meter usage.
- Make recommendations to improve existing PM’s to improve effectiveness and updates PM’s, modifications including equipment changes.
- Minimize downtime of plant equipment through the effective use of I&E Electrical/Electronic maintenance skills.
Qualifications – BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
