What You’ll Be Doing

As our Sushi Chef, you’ll be the one preparing and creating beautiful sushi dishes that our customers love. You’ll be responsible for:

• Making sushi and sashimi: You’ll prepare different types of sushi, including nigiri, maki rolls, and sashimi, with attention to detail and a focus on consistency.
• Ingredient management: You’ll keep an eye on the freshness and quality of all the ingredients we use. You’ll also help manage stock levels and assist in ordering supplies when needed.
• Kitchen hygiene: Keeping your work area clean and organized is a must. You’ll follow food safety guidelines to ensure we maintain a safe kitchen environment.
• Teamwork: You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive kitchen team. You’ll collaborate with your colleagues and help out where needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Experience: At least 3 years working as a Sushi Chef (whether in a central kitchen or a restaurant environment).
• Skills: Strong knife skills and a deep knowledge of sushi and sashimi preparation.
• Attention to Detail: You care about the quality of your work and maintaining high standards.
• Communication: You can communicate well with your team, and a basic understanding of English is required. Bonus if you know Mandarin or Japanese!
• Right to Work: You must have the legal right to work in the UK (we can offer visa sponsorship for the right candidate).
