We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join Baskk Italian, located on Marine Parade in Coolangatta.

About Us

Baskk Italian is a family-owned restaurant serving authentic Italian cuisine on the Gold Coast. We focus on quality food and excellent service in a beautiful beachside location.

The Role

You will manage all restaurant operations and report directly to the owners. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will oversee staff, ensure quality service, and help grow the business.

We need someone with real management experience who can work independently and make decisions that benefit both our team and our guests.

What You’ll Do

Manage the Team

• Lead and train full-time, part-time, and casual staff
• Create a positive work environment
• Handle staff scheduling and development
• Resolve any workplace issues professionally

Run Daily Operations

• Ensure smooth service during all shifts
• Maintain health and safety standards
• Manage inventory and supplies
• Oversee opening and closing procedures

Drive Business Growth

• Work with owners to improve performance
• Analyze sales and identify opportunities
• Develop strategies to attract more customers
• Control costs while maintaining quality

Deliver Excellent Service

• Train staff on menu and wine knowledge
• Handle customer complaints effectively
• Ensure consistent service standards
• Guide team on professional upselling

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 3 years in restaurant management Education: Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent practical experience Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of wine and food service Attributes: Professional appearance, ability to work under pressure, computer literate

This position requires proven management experience. Entry-level candidates will not be considered.
