Company: Moranbah Early Learning Centre.
Location: Mackay & Coalfields, QLD, Australia.

Moranbah Early Learning Centre is looking for a skilled and dedicated Landscape Gardener to join our team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces to ensure our centre remains safe and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Plant, cultivate, maintain, and plan gardens and landscapes within our centres and properties.
• Prepare and maintain garden beds.
• Maintain planted and grassed areas through weeding, trimming, fertilising, watering, and mowing.
• Prune trees and hedges .
• Maintain gravel and paved areas, walls, fences and garden furniture.
• Inspect trees to assess their condition and determine necessary treatment.
• Monitor trees to control insects and disease, and remove diseased trees as needed.
• Ensure the centre and properties grounds and facilities are in excellent condition.
• Prepare plans and drawings, select materials and plants, and schedule landscape construction
• Set out and install hardscape and softscape structures
• Construct gravel and paved areas, walls, fences, trellises and garden furniture

Requirements

• With at least 1 year full time proven work experience in landscaping, gardening, or a related field.
• Relevant qualifications in Landscaping, or a related trade (Certificate III in Landscape or higher preferred).
• Competency in using hand tools, chainsaws, and other landscaping equipment.
• Knowledge of plant care, tree maintenance, and pest control.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must hold (or be willing to obtain) a valid Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining a safe and engaging outdoor environment for children.
