This role is cross-functional and will require relationships with a wide range of customers within our Plant & Food Research sites in New Zealand and overseas.
What you will be doing | Ngā whāinga matua
You will be responsible for resolving a high proportion of requests at first point of contact for our customers (science and non-science staff) via our centralised Service Desk service. The primary responsibilities include :
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving hardware & software requests, mobile devices and multi-point video conferences units
- Ability to solve technical problems effectively, clearly communicate with customers utilising video conference tools
- Coordinate with the other IS Teams the support of new or modified services
- Assist in evaluating new end users devices for suitability/compatibility/integration with existing environment

To be successful in this role, the minimum qualifications required are:
- 1 years experienced in supporting users in the Microsoft computing environment, particularly Active Directory, inTune, Azure, MS Exchange and M365 apps.
- Sound customer service skills together with 1 years experience in prioritising requests for support will be essential
- 1 years experience in providing audio / video conferencing support
- Industry certification in MS core technologies would be beneficial
- A results-focused, energetic attitude with a customer-centric outlook
