We’re a busy vegetable farm, and we’re looking for people who are ready to jump in and help our crops thrive.
The Details
- Pay: $17.85/hour (About 80 to 100 hours every two weeks).
- Status: LMIA is currently in process, so we are getting ready to welcome international workers.
- The Environment: This is hands-on work inside a greenhouse. It can get warm, and you’ll sometimes be working at heights, so it’s a great fit if you like a physically active job.
What you’ll be doing
Growing great vegetables takes a lot of care and attention. Your day will be full of variety, including:
- Plant Care: Tying and securing plants, guiding growing shoots, and weeding to keep everything healthy.
- Harvesting: Hand-picking fresh vegetables and getting them ready for market.
- Maintenance: Watering, applying fertilizers, and keeping the greenhouse clean and tidy.
- Crop Support: Cleaning the crops, pruning/cutting when needed, and occasionally helping with pest control (spraying/dusting).
Who we’re looking for
You don’t need a specific degree or years of experience to start here—we are happy to train you! We just need people who bring a great attitude.
- Language: Basic English is needed so we can all stay on the same page.
- Physically Fit: You’re comfortable standing for long periods, bending, crouching, and lifting up to 20 lbs (9 kg).
- Detail-Oriented: You have good hand-eye coordination and notice the small things that keep plants healthy.
- Team Player: You enjoy working with others in a fast-paced, friendly environment.
