Job Position: Aircraft Mechanic in Canada – LMIA Approved Soon!
Vacancy: 15 Vacancies
Company: GAL AeroStaff
Salary: $36.10 hourly / 40 hours per week
Location: Mississauga, ON, Canada
GAL AeroStaff here. We’re looking for 15 aircraft mechanics to work with us in Mississauga. LMIA approval is right around the corner for anyone coming from overseas.
A bit about us
We’re an aerospace company based in Canada. We do the technical stuff that keeps planes safe and airworthy – maintenance, repairs, interior work, structural fixes. We work with airlines, maintenance facilities, and aircraft manufacturers all over North America.
What the day-to-day looks like
Look, you’ll be getting your hands dirty. You’re testing aircraft systems, figuring out what’s broken, fixing it, and making sure everything works the way it’s supposed to. That means hydraulics, flight controls, fuel systems, oxygen equipment – all of it.
You’ll swap out parts that aren’t working, rig flight controls, run system checks, and inspect every little thing to make sure it’s up to spec. Sometimes you’re standing on a ladder, sometimes you’re squeezed into a tight compartment trying to reach a component. It’s physical work.
You’ll use technical manuals and engineering drawings to guide your work, log everything on the computer system, and stick to safety procedures because, well, it’s aviation – there’s no room to mess around.
What you need to have
- High school diploma
- Know your way around a computer (nothing fancy, just basic stuff)
- Either your A&P license with 2 years under your belt, OR 4 years of hands-on aircraft mechanic experience without the license
- Comfortable with hand tools and precision equipment
- Can read technical diagrams and maintenance procedures
- Able to lift 50 lbs, climb stairs, and work in awkward positions
- Can’t be allergic to jet fuel, hydraulic fluid, oils, or solvents – you’ll be around them constantly
- Speak English well enough to communicate clearly
What’s in it for you
- You get dental, paid time off, casual dress (no suits here), and help with your commute.
- If you’re coming from outside Canada: We’ll cover your flight ticket, set you up with housing, get you a rental car, and provide health insurance.
- That’s it. If you’re good with your hands, know aircraft inside and out, and want to work in Canada, let’s talk.
📄 LMIA Status: The employer has applied for an LMIA and is waiting for approval. Canadian citizens and permanent residents are also encouraged to apply.
