– Collect all relevant paperwork from previous shift

– Get field information from scale house

– Ensure correct crop ID is identified

– Prepare frozen recap reports – indicate holds or out of spec totes, add defect levels

– Perform quality checks for cook, maturity/grade, peroxidase, brine flotation

– Collect aseptic listeria samples for microbiological testing

– Collect all required samples and complete paperwork

– Perform metal detector verification

– Assist with attribute checks and ensure results are accurate

– Calibrate thermometers and scales

– Monitor OFS log and tote tracking log

– Report lbs/hr, peroxidase, attribute over radio – perform micro and allergen swabs

– Notify F1, C1 when out of spec for quality or attribute

– Clean lab, wash buckets, trays, and pots

– Gather tote cards when dumping product into the blancher room and enter into WO

– Follow directions from the Supervisors

– Other duties as assigned

– Ability to work together with multiple teams and drive action to troubleshoot and correct quality related concerns.

– Detail oriented in training and monitoring quality test procedures and results in multiple departments.

– Good working understanding of the procedures for required quality testing in Bulk operations.

– Work in mainly cold environments.

– Good knowledge of MXP, Bluebee for quality information.

– Good computer skills. Microsoft Excel, Word, Datahex, and Google Workspace would be an asset.

– Shift work required.
