EL-JASBELLA Group HR Pty Ltd is a growing organization located in Port Augusta, South Australia with two Aged care home sites under Edenfield Family Care, seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional culinary experiences through our high-quality food services and are committed to fostering a positive, professional work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook high-quality meals with a focus on freshness and presentation.
• Plan and design menus, considering seasonal availability and customer preferences.
• Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, stock control, and hygiene practices.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Manage food inventory, order supplies, and minimize waste.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain the highest food standards.
• Collaborate with the management team to enhance customer experience.
Requirements:
• Proven 2+ years experience as a Chef in a high-paced environment.
• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
• Strong leadership and kitchen management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Excellent communication and team-working skills.
• Flexibility to work across shifts, including weekends and holidays.
