Chinese Cuisine Chef Assistant Job Details:

Zhan Food Ltd is in Auckland. We are now looking for multiple experienced Chinese Cuisine Cook Assistants to join us. This is a full-time role with a minimum of 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Assist Cook by performing routine food preparation, cleaning and storage tasks.

Tasks Include: * Conduct the task of gathering food ingredients in preparation for cooking and serving

• Conduct the task of gathering woks, pots and pans in preparation for cooking food ingredients
• Conduct the task of weighing and measuring ingredients
• Conduct the task of washing, peeling, cutting, slicing and dicing ingredients for cooking and serving
• Conduct the task of cutting and grinding meat, poultry and seafood in preparation for cooking
• Conduct the task of storing food supplies, equipment, dishes and cooking wares in refrigerators, cupboards, pantries and other storage areas
• Informing Cook/Chef when food supplies are low.

The successful candidate must have:

• A short period of on-the-job training relevant experience

• Good work attitude and good communication skills

• Strong motivation

• Physical fitness and could handle the heavy workload

• Quality workmanship and eye for detail

• Strong dedication to health and workplace safety

• Excellent interpersonal skills to work with other team members.

• Strong ability to work independently
