Job Summary

The Client Executive is responsible for expanding in an existing territory and acquiring new business with the Government of Canada and our Federal Government business. By positioning NetApp’s Products, Solutions, Data Services and Support to customer as well as maintaining positive on-going relationships to meet evolving customer needs. You will also be responsible for collaborating with Channel Partners to manage sales activity within your territory.

Your overall focus areas will be in prospecting, developing business opportunities, creating proposals for presentation to customers, and booking business for NetApp. Cross-functional teams from NetApp’s major BU’s provide support and tools for you to leverage to attain and exceed sales performance goals. You will utilize your excellent relationship building, negotiating, and advanced value selling techniques to be successful in this role.

The primary responsibilities of the Sales Representative are to work directly with the focused customers and prospects, develop and manage pipeline of sales opportunities with Partners in your territory and drive continued collaboration and communication.

Responsibilities include : Use relationship management techniques to develop selling opportunities within your territory. Develop, manage and grow a pipeline of sales opportunities with key Channel Partners within your territory to expand sales revenues.

Nurture partner relationships to improve communication, collaboration and accountability with opportunities, coordinating with additional support resources as needed. Have discussions with new levels and buyer profiles (Cloud Architect, Application Developer, Chief Data Scientist, Chief Information Officer, etc.).

*Preferred locations: Ottawa or Toronto

Job Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills in English and French, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees within the department and across functions.
  • Aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems.
  • Ability to convey information clearly and provide analysis as needed to help the customer make buying decisions.
  • Maintain updated selling activity notes in NetApp’s customer resource management system, and accurately forecast business opportunities.

Responsibility:

As a seasoned professional with a wide range of experiences, this individual use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Collaborate with Partners, support sales requests and manage co-selling activities.

Interaction:

This individual effectively works with, and influences senior internal personnel within the function, employees in other functions that support the sales effort, external partners, and has direct customer contact. Limited management supervision and direction is provided since this individual operates and drives results independently. The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert and strongly influences sales team decisions and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires 5 to 8 years selling comparable technologies.
  • Successful track record of selling into the Federal Government space.
  • Have a security clearance is an advantage.
