Reporting to the Mine Engineering Superintendent, this temporary full-time position is a 16-month co-op that begins in May 2024.

What you will do:

  • Collect and interpret mine ventilation data
  • Collect and interpret rock mechanics data
  • Conduct ground support testing
  • Prepare reports
  • Work in both the office and the field
  • Look after other duties as assigned
  • Contribute to the safety culture at Vanscoy Potash by demonstrating strict adherence to safety policies and procedures

What you will bring:

  • Must be currently enrolled and completed at least 2 years of an undergraduate Geological or Mine Engineering program (or equivalent) at an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term.
  • Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training
  • Excellent interpersonal teamwork and communication skills
  • Motivation to set and achieve goals, take initiative, and nurture projects forward
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
  • Alignment with Nutrien’s

and values * Preference will be given to candidates with mining or heavy industrial experience and/or with data analytics experience
