Primary Job Function: To assist with a variety of commercial HVAC new construction and retrofits under the direction of the Field Supervisor and Commercial Projects Manager, adhering to workmanship standards and company policy and adhering to all Safety standards and local codes. Commercial Project Apprentice Level 1 is an entry-level apprentice position in which the employee is expected to demonstrate the ability to work effectively with team members, demonstrate the mechanical ability required for success in the HVAC trade, demonstrate a positive attitude, and develop a strong work ethic. Successful Level 1 Commercial Apprentices will demonstrate commitment to investing in themselves through in-house training, in-field training, and professional development classes.
Work Hours: Flexible per project 7:30 am – 4:30 pm/5 days (8 hrs) or 7:30 am – 6:00 pm/4 days (10 hrs) — break and lunch times required by law (Overtime as needed)
Pay rate: $18.00 – $21.00 an hour

Required Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license, insurable by EnviroControl Systems’ insurance carrier
- Employee provided reliable transportation to and from job assignments
- Reports day one with required tools: tape measure, straight claw hammer, razor knife, screwdriver set, toolbox/bucket/bag; steel-toed work boots
- Qualified for work in the United States with necessary I-9 documentation
- Passes EnviroControl Systems’ DFW mandatory drug screen and background check
- Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with EnviroControl Systems’ team members in both spoken and written language
- Demonstrates aptitude to position based on Job Profile Assessment, where applicable
- Able to read and use a tape measure correctly
