Job Position: Community Mental Health Nurse – Visa Sponsorship Available

We’re looking for a compassionate, motivated Community Mental Health Nurse to join our friendly and skilled Dementia & Older People’s Mental Health Team in Worthing, part of Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

What’s the role all about?
You’ll be joining a supportive, multi-professional team that works across Adur, Arun, Worthing, and Chanctonbury. The role has two key parts:
- Intensive Support: Provide short-term crisis intervention, working 9am–5pm, 7 days a week (including bank holidays)
- Lead Practitioner: Manage your own caseload, Monday–Friday (excluding bank holidays)
You’ll assess, plan, and deliver care that helps people stay well and independent in their own homes for as long as possible. You’ll be working with a range of professionals and partner services to give each person the support they truly need.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a valid NMC pin
- Has experience supporting people with complex mental health needs, preferably in a community setting
- Is confident with assessments, care planning, and managing risk
- Communicates well and thrives in a multi-agency environment
- Brings compassion, resilience, and a sense of humour to their work
You’ll need to be able to travel within the local area (Adur to Chanctonbury), so access to transport is essential.
