We are seeking a general farm worker/stockperson for a mixed farm near Bridgwater in Somerset. The core enterprise is a 300 strong high input dairy herd with dairy youngstock, beef cattle, sheep and some arable.
Job Skills
The role will centre around the dairy though milking will be limited to emergency cover only. Scraping, bedding, relief TMR feeding, and stock work will be the main tasks with some additional tractor field work as time allows. A rota is currently in operation with either early start followed by early finish or later start with finish at the end of afternoon milking making up around 52 hours per week.
