Key Accountabilities:
- The grandstand Maintenance Department is responsible for all preventative maintenance on all Heating & Air Conditioning units, plumbing, electrical, main building, barn and paddock maintenance, waste, water and drinking water treatment.
- This position requires every maintenance personnel to work diligently and to take other employee safety into consideration.
- Technical skills and ability to use various hand and power tools is an asset.
- Preparation and painting, lettering
- Use of Power Tools, using power tools, table saw, drill press, grinders
- Plumbing – clogged Drains, cleaning plugged drain with a plunger, using drain cleaner, and using a snake
- Chemical Usage – moving chemical containers and chemical usage
- Soldering (Plumbing) – soldering in plumbing
- Sewage Tank Cleaning – cleaning sewage tank
- Working Above 6′ – repairs above 6′, i.e. changing lights, painting, plumbing, electrical
- Cleaning Grease Trap – opening traps in cramped quarters
- Electrical Work in Barns – changing ballast’s, switches, receptacles, wires, etc.
- Also, must be able to read and write English and display excellent organizational and human relation skills.
- Preparation and painting
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Manages other initiatives as required
Education and Qualification Requirements:
- General Building Maintenance Experience
- Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule.
- The hours of work will be based on operational needs.
Work Environment Considerations: General building maintenance environment, non-traditional work hours are required.
Licensing and Certification Requirements: Permanent employment may be dependent upon the authorization and continued approval of the Provincial/State Regulatory Bodies. New employees may be required to complete an application and, if required, will begin work only after regulatory approval is granted. Existing team members will reapply as necessary, and continuing work will be dependent upon successful reapplication. For positions that require additional certification, the appropriate level of certification will be maintained.
