Are you a passionate cook who loves great food and the mountains? The Wood Restaurant and Lounge in beautiful Canmore, Alberta, is looking for three talented cooks to join our busy kitchen team.
If you are a qualified cook applying from outside Canada, we have LMIA approval ready to help bring you over!
What the job looks like
You’ll be right in the middle of the action in our fast-paced kitchen. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking excellent, high-quality meals and individual dishes.
- Safely prepping meals for guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions.
- Running smooth kitchen shifts, keeping track of inventory, and making sure supplies are well-stocked.
- Helping train new staff on prep, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety.
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and running efficiently.
What we’re looking for
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of solid line-cooking experience.
- Education: High school graduation certificate.
- Language: Strong conversational English so you can communicate clearly with the team.
- Fit: You are organized, reliable, and a great team player. You thrive under pressure, pay attention to detail, and don’t mind standing for long shifts in a busy kitchen environment.
