JLL is hiring a Maintenance Technician for the team at Cherry Lane Mall. This role reports to the Property Director and will be cross-trained to perform various maintenance tasks as well day porter duties. Hours of work will vary from 6am – Midnight including 8 and 10 hours shifts, as well as on-call responsibilities, responding to emergency calls and sick calls and vacation coverage. This position will average 26/hours per week with opportunity for more hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to tenant and employee service calls and complaints as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Change lights, tubes, and lenses as well as clean light fixtures.
  • Provide handyman services in the areas of general repairs such as flooring, touch-up painting, locks and hardware, ceiling tiles, etc.
  • Provide maintenance and repairs to building equipment and assist with landscaping and other outdoors duties
  • Provide assistance as directed to other building trade person in the areas of preventative maintenance, electrical maintenance, etc.
  • Complete custodial housekeeping tasks in the mechanical/electrical areas.
  • Maintain work areas clean, efficient, and organized at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned from time-to-time.

Qualifications:

  • Individual must be mechanically inclined and ideally have 1-2 years’ experience in general building repairs/operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with high level of professional and commitment to service excellence.
  • Ability to perform regular inspections of building and identify, recommends and implements improvements.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform the requirements of the job with minimal supervision and to complete the assigned duties and responsibilities as per agreed deadlines or established schedules.
  • Available to work 7 days/week and from 6am-Midnight. Schedule will be known in advance.
