Senior Distributor Account Manager, Animal Health Job Details:
As a Sr. Distributor Account Manager, you will serve as the face of Ecolab and provide recommendations on advanced cleaning and sanitation biosecurity programs within the Canada market. Sr. Distributor Account Managers are responsible for driving program sales through assigned distributor sales partners as well as leveraging existing relationships with Ecolab manufacturing organizations. The Sr. Distributor Account Manager’s success depends on their ability to build relationships with key customers and distributor partners in order to provide value through prompt and reliable support.

Location: Territory includes Sainte Hyacinthe, Quebec City, Montreal and Southern Ontario.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Perform all work in a safe manner!
- Cultivate relationships at all levels of distribution partners, with the Ecolab Canada F&B team, and key manufacturing vendor organizations in North America.
- Working directly with large dairy farms in the sales, service and promotion of existing and new value-added products to large dairy farms within an assigned territory.
- Build a solid understanding of Ecolab products, customer business objectives, and applicable government regulations
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations on Ecolab’s innovative products, equipment and services
- Provide industry expertise to customers in terms of sanitation, safety, quality and operations; including assisting with sanitation plans and programs, standard operating procedures, evaluating processes and procedures, identifying and implementing operational efficiencies, and employee training
- Develop strategic work plans for completing sales and service/consultation calls with new and existing customers
- Lead the expansion and sales growth of NA Animal Health business by:
- Identifying potential customers
- Gain a deep understanding of customer needs and priorities
- Developing customer specific sales and marketing plans & approaches
- Establishing relationships on all levels within the customers organization
- Introduce new products and enhance distributor sales and service capabilities through presentations, training, demonstrations and using other Ecolab resources
- Close the deal and implement arrangements
- Support technical questions related to our products and biosecurity.
- Accurately complete administrative duties
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Nutrition or Bio-Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of industry related experience.
- An in depth knowledge of animal production, animal health, or animal nutrition.
- Willingness to travel 50% of your time within your specific territory.
- Able to travel to the US for training/meetings
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- Bilingual, French/English to support customers in both Quebec and Ontario
Preferred Qualifications
- A high degree of energy, self motivation, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in managing sales projects to a successful completion.
- Ability to sell value added products to new customers with strong consultative selling and influencing skills
- Functional ability to operate computer and computer applications
Physical Requirements
- Ability to drive on a daily basis. Depending on territory, may include driving significant distances for significant stretches with overnight stays.
- Ability to do the following physical movements on an occasional basis: climbing, twisting, bending, and squatting
- Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination may be required based on client site requirements
