Senior Farm Hand in Condobolin NSW:
Is a successful, family owned broad acre farming operation known for its production of high-quality crops of hybrid seeds, canola, chickpeas, wheat, and barley across its 7000acre property located near Condobolin, NSW.
The farm has a bus stop at its gate and is only 22km to town where there are excellent schooling options and a great community.
The Role:
As a Senior Farm Hand, you are responsible for the day to day activities that support the effective running of the farm from Seeding to Harvest. You will be physically capable of undertaking basic manual labour duties, along with operating and maintaining their modern fleet of machinery.
These include (but are not limited to):
- 4430 Patriot sprayer
- John Deere 8335RT +8260R tractors
- Case Steiger 550 + Puma 155
- Case 9230 +8250 harvester
- John Deere 1890 + 1720 planter
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have skills operating a variety of broadacre cropping machinery. Practical and hands on, you’ll be multiskilled, adaptable, and capable of tackling most jobs.
Our client is looking for someone who is committed to their job and has a positive attitude. To be considered for the role, it’s important you can address the following criteria:
- Skilled in the operation of broadacre machinery
- ChemCert chemical handling certificate (not essential)
- Sound mechanical knowledge
- Highly motivated and able to work independently
- Truck licence desirable but not essential
- Basic computer skills

Senior Farm Hand Machinery Operations:
Our client is a leading family-owned farming operation growing cotton, wheat, canola, barley and chickpeas. They have a young enthusiastic team and strive to create an enjoyable work environment.
Reporting directly to the new Farm Operations Manager the company has the capacity to bring on a Senior Farm Hand / Machinery and Spray Rig Operator across their 11,000 Ha aggregation.
You will be experienced and mature enough to will want to ‘own’ this part of the operations and be in ‘to die for’ machinery and Goldacre’s gear that anyone in the know would be excited by!
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate a modern range of tractors and machinery during preparation, planting, in-crop applications & harvest.
- Oversee and implement maintenance of farm plant and machinery.
- Understanding and implementation of all OH&S procedures.
- Maintaining high farm hygiene standards.
- Focus on spraying activities and equipment.
- Additional responsibilities of general farm maintenance and irrigation.
THE REQUIREMENTS
- Prior experience in a similar position (either spray rig or irrigation/dryland cropping).
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
- Passion for new technologies and keeping gear clean & tidy.
- Ability to communicate & relate to management & other team members.
- Chem cert and HR licences.
