Job title: Tree and Fruit Agronomist

Tree and Fruit Agronomist Job Details:

Gpac is working with a well-known and reputable Northern Michigan Ag company to add a Tree and Fruit Agronomist to their team. A competitive compensation and benefit package will be offered to the right individual.

Agronomist Responsibilities:

  • Integrated pest management practices
  • Work alongside growers and farmers to determine best practices for their tree and fruit operations
  • Facilitate positive long-term relationships with customers to create and promote long-term repeat business
  • Prepare sales presentations, contracts and proposals
  • Perform a variety of agronomic duties independently
  • Keep up to date on all agronomy services and technology, including seed, Precision Farming technology, finance, and marketing tools

Agronomist Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of agronomy-related experience with tree, orchard, or vineyard experience
  • A degree in Agronomy/Agriculture preferred or equivalent experience
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently and with a team
