About the role
We’re looking for an Underwriter Assistant to join our growing Specialty Lines Farm team!
What you’ll do here:
Process insurance policy renewals, endorsements and cancellations and new business
Prepare new business for input into our systems
Provide legendary customer service to brokers, by responding to their requests and inquiries regarding changes to policies, through written and verbal correspondence
Support Underwriters with their service requests
Build relationships and networks to support your professional growth and success
Innovate through your contributions to improve efficiency
Identifies and assigns incoming inquiries to appropriate individuals
Other administrative duties and tasks as required
What you bring to the table:
Post secondary education or relevant office experience is preferred
Insurance experience preferred
Adaptable and flexible with the ability to prioritize work and thrive in a high volume, fast-paced environment
Highly organized to manage workflow efficiently without continuous supervision
Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient data entry skills and strong attention to details
Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
Computer proficiency and the ability to navigate through multiple systems
