The Opportunity:
We are looking for motivated individuals to join our progressive and well-organised dairy team. This role is ideally suited to someone with milking experience, a passion for animal welfare, and a keen eye for detail. Whether you’re a local or a backpacker seeking WHV days, this is your chance to be part of a professional, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Milking 700 cows twice daily in a modern 60-bail rotary dairy (with automatic cup removers, heat detection, and drafting)
- Applying efficient milking techniques (6 cups per minute preferred)
- Fetching cows using a quad bike
- Calf feeding and basic animal husbandry
- Operating tractors for sowing, mowing, and feeding out hay and silage
- Following detailed procedures for dairy operations and hygiene
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience in dairy milking, preferably with rotary systems
- Tractor operation and quad bike handling skills
- Ability to follow structured procedures and work both independently and in a team
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Willingness to live and work in a rural, community-focused environment
- Couples or friends encouraged to apply
- WHV (Working Holiday Visa) holders welcome – we qualify for 88-day regional work
