Group Marketing Manager Job Details:

PURPPOSE OF JOB:

To develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy for the companies, with the aim of promoting their products and services to both existing and potential customers. The primary objective is to establish and maintain a strong brand presence in the local tyre industry and transport sectors, with the ultimate goal of expanding the companies’ customer base and increasing revenue.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREA

Financial Responsibilities: * Ensure all expenses are within the budget.

  • Consult budget spend per project.
  • Allocate specific budget spend with department heads on campaigns
  • Report outcome of campaigns., Monitor expenditure per project.
  • Monitor, adjust campaigns.
  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals
  • Utilize cost effective advertising platforms and suppliers.
  • To compare supplier platforms & viability against agreed budget.
  • Monitor ROI
  • Measure each campaign by the outcome (increase spend / leads generated / traffic flow to digital platforms)
  • Manage Supplier contributions towards campaigns.
  • Negotiate co-sponsorship deals with suppliers. Report back quarterly on co-deals.
  • Approach suppliers for financial support on campaigns

Customer Responsibilities: * Increase product & Brand awareness

  • Develop brand awareness campaigns and strategy’s in collaboration with CSO and Sales managers
  • Ensure ongoing brand exposure across all platforms.
  • Current and Latest products information database and catalogues.
  • Ensure our products and services easily accessible to our entire customer base.
  • Current and up to date Products and Catalogues available across all platforms
  • Push new products and service to market across all platforms.
  • Liaise with Sales managers and imports on upcoming deals or dead stock, create campaigns.
  • Lead Generation (B2B)
  • Create social and e-mail campaigns that will generate the correct lead type
  • Target the customer base, Nurture the lead
  • Ensure ongoing online exposure
  • Increase Visibility and product awareness within the market place.
  • Identify best platforms for exposure.

Operational Responsibilities: * Marketing material

  • Provide informative, up to date brochures and presentations.
  • Produce required marketing collateral that aligns with the appropriate campaign.
  • Meet with internal stakeholder (departments) Design create and produce marketing collateral that is required by the various departments
  • Branding
  • Establishing, implementing and monitoring Corporate Brand Identity
  • Campaigns
  • Analyse consumer behaviour and adjust email and advertising campaigns accordingly.
  • Research prospective clients and create material that meets the demand and target market.
  • Research the market, report back with findings and solutions to generate new business.
  • Research and Investigate ongoing methods of capturing potential leads.
  • Investigate appropriate platforms for campaigns.
  • Content creation
  • Produce accurate and informative up to date product catalogues and brochures.
  • Produce publications that are factual, targeted and accurate and meet the needs of the market.
  • Produce creative cutting edge thoughtful adverts for digital platforms that drive product to consumer.
  • Digital Platforms
  • Maintain all digital platforms, ensure the information is current and information is up to date.
  • Ensure campaigns are executed across all appropriate platforms.
  • Monitor and report on analytics across platforms.
  • Continuously research available platforms for leads and prospects
  • Admin
  • Manage the budget and track expenditure of all campaigns.
  • Liaise with suppliers on cost saving alternatives and joint campaigns.
  • Report back on campaign results with metrics reflecting ROI with relevant department heads.
  • Manage marketing team daily activities and KPI’s
  • Exceptions and Escalations

Exceptions

  • Investigate and try resolve any minor disputes or slurring that occur on digital platforms.
  • Report abuse and tarnishing of the brand to relevant department heads.

Escalations (report up line)

  • If legal assistance or the Company are brought into disrepute request assistance from Top management.
  • Provide feedback to the relevant department head on positive messaging and compliments and complaints.

Learn & Grow Responsibilities: * Team Development

  • Design Training & Development plan for marketing team
  • Introduce and maintain a daily learning culture based on operational and team development skills.
  • Performance Management
  • To ensure JD and JP’s are updated for Marketing staff.
  • Conduct quarterly performance discussions with all employees.
  • Maintain good Creative and informative work.
  • Conduct Disciplinary action in consultation with IR specialist, when required, as per Labour Relations Act
  • Housekeeping
  • Maintain culture and values to align reputational conduct.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects.(re-engineer re-invent)
  • Succession Strategy

Innovative thinking

  • Design Succession Strategy for each role in operational area
  • Implement and monitor succession initiatives and progress
  • Cleanliness
  • Ensure work area is neat and conducive to a constructive and efficient work flow environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE * Degree or Diploma in Advertising or Marketing

  • 8+ years’ experience in (advertising, marketing)
  • Hands on design and production is advantageous
  • Experience in setting up a
