What You’d Actually Be Doing

Taking those architect drawings (you know, the ones that sometimes make no sense) and figuring out how to build what they want
Making lists of what wood and materials you need—veneers, laminates, MDF, solid wood, all the bits and pieces
Running the machines. CNC routers, edge banders, panel saws. Plus your regular hand tools
Being in charge of the crew. Making sure the carpenters, polishers, and installers are doing things right
Planning out who does what and when, so stuff actually gets done on time
Checking everything before it goes to the client (because nobody wants callbacks)
Writing up quick reports for the management folks
