An exciting mixed farm hand opportunity at a market-leading mixed farming business near Naracoorte, VIC.

Livestock Farm Hand

Naracoorte, Victoria

Our client are a market leading mixed farming enterprise, with properties across WA, SA & VIC. They are seeking an ambitious livestock farm hand for ongoing work at their Boorala farm near Naracoorte, VIC.

The farm consists of 2700ha with multiple enterprises such as lamb trading, sheep breeding, background Angus cattle and 1000ha of wheat, canola and bean crops.

Position Overview

The chosen candidate will be working closely with the livestock manager & 2IC with a focus on sheep & cattle. Your daily duties will include:

• Animal husbandry of cattle & sheep
• Shearing, crutching, feeding, sowing pasture & inducting sheep and cattle.
• Loading & unloading trucks
• Rotational grazing management
• Maintenance of farm structures & equipment

Skills & Experience

• The ideal candidate will have:
• Previous experience with seep & cattle
• Ability to work both autonomously and within a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Forklift and drivers licence
• First Aid training
