We are seeking an energetic and engaging individual to assume the position of Systems Analyst ? Web, with the Information Technology Division.
Responsibilities will focus on, but not be limited to, delivering high-quality project and user services. Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager, the incumbent will provide project services such as planning, executing and monitoring projects; identifying and assessing user requirements; developing and maintaining documentation and processes; installing and configuring and maintaining software; and recommending and implementing policies, as such, experience following project management principles is desirable. The incumbent should be familiar with Content Management Systems as the position is required to manage and maintain the City’s public and internal websites. Experience with End Point Management Systems is highly recommended. Experience providing services such as communicating with user departments to ensure that computer resources are properly deployed and utilized; assisting City staff in the effective utilization of hardware and software tools; troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software problems; and managing the maintenance and upkeep of enterprise applications.
This position requires a post-secondary degree in Computer Science and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience, preferably in a municipal government setting. Also, this position requires solid problem solving ability, project management experience, strong team player abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, a positive and service-oriented attitude, polished presentation skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality and a valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver’s license. Current industry certifications in technologies relevant to the City’s infrastructure are highly desirable including IIS, ASP.Net and SQL Administration. The position requires the incumbent to assist other members of the Information Technology Division team as appropriate and to provide leadership on an ongoing basis.
