An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Broiler Farm Manager based in the scenic rim, in South East Queensland. This is a modern farm with tunnel-ventilated sheds holding.
You will be accountable for managing and maintaining a poultry farm operation. You will need planning skills with an inquiring mind and be a good problem solver.
As a Farm Manager, you will be responsible for the breeder flocks, ensuring each flock achieves high standards through careful monitoring and control. You will monitor your flocks daily to ensure good health and welfare.
To be considered for this role you will need previous experience in poultry farming, preferably in breeders.
Essential attributes include the following:
- Experience with livestock including a genuine concern for animal welfare.
- Experience with modern poultry farm equipment and control systems.
- Staff management experience.
- Be committed to quality and budget management.
- Experience liaising with service providers.
- Focused on health and safety
- Be mechanically minded and have an understanding of equipment and machinery maintenance.
This is a full-time and live-in position. The salary package includes accommodation, a farm work vehicle, and a phone. The residence is a 3-bedroom brick home.
