5/ Junior Stationhand Red Hill Agriculture
We have 2 new Jnr Station hand positions becoming available to join our large mixed farming enterprise close to Yass. We are a long-established family-owned business producing fine merino wool, XB Lambs, feeder cattle, and integrated dual-purpose cropping programs. You will be working with a young enthusiastic team.
Due to the large scale of the property – some farming experience is essential.
The desired applicant should:
- Be enthusiastic & eager to learn
- Have the ability & initiative to work on their own, as well as part of a team
- Take pride in their work.
- Undertake instructions from the Owner & Manager
- Good communications skill
- Operate modern Machinery with RTK
- Fencing
- Animal Husbandry (Merino Sheep & Angus Cows)
- General Farm Maintenance
- Have working dogs (or are willing to obtain)
Accommodation – single quarters will be provided on the farm.
Ideally, this position would suit a young person finishing High School looking for a Gap Year job or who is keen to start a career in agriculture.
