300 Position in Harvest With MADEC Australia

We require up to 300 workers to assist with picking and packing truss grown tomatoes in Port Augusta.

These duties will include:

• Picking Tomatoes
• Winding plants onto their strings
• De-leafing, pruning, removing laterals
• Packing shed productions line
• Glasshouse cleaning and maintenance
• Clipping
• Dropping string lines
• General Labouring

Position will commence Early August 2024 with various intake through until Mid May 2025, and last for up to 4 years.

Payment for these positions will be under the Horticulture Industry award 2020.

You will generally work 5 days per week from Monday to Friday, though this may change from time to time. You may also be rostered on to work Saturdays

Selection Criteria:

• Ability to pass a colour-blind test, as the position requires you to distinguish between red and green tomatoes
• Ability to pass a Drug test before commencement of employment
• Ability to acquire good speed at manual tasks
• Ability to lift crates for long periods of time
• Ability to do repetitive work, standing for long periods of time
