About Our School
GEMS Founders Al Mizhar (GFM) opened in 2018 and is built on the success of GEMS Founders School in Dubai. We follow the National Curriculum for England and currently welcome students from FS1 to Year 8, with plans to expand up to Year 13 in the near future.

The Role
As Head of English, you’ll lead a team of enthusiastic teachers and help shape a department where a love for reading, writing, and language can truly flourish. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, building strong relationships with students and staff, and helping every learner reach their full potential
What We’re Looking For
- A qualified teacher with a B.Ed. or a relevant degree plus PGCE/PGDE or equivalent
- Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level (or similar qualifications)
- Strong understanding of the British curriculum
- Proven experience in leading or mentoring within a department
- A kind, collaborative approach and a genuine passion for teaching
