If you’ve got solid kitchen skills and love the mountain lifestyle, we have an awesome opportunity for you. Snowshoe Mountain Resort is looking for Line Cooks to join our culinary crew for the upcoming season.
If you want a job where you can work hard in a high-energy kitchen, make great money, and spend your free time hitting the slopes, this is it. Plus, if you are already in the US on an H-2B visa, we are fully set up for in-country extensions!
The Basics
- Where: Snowshoe, West Virginia
- Pay: $18.00 to $22.00/hour (Based on what you bring to the table)
- Overtime: Available at $27.00 to $33.00/hour
- Hours: Around 35 hours a week
What You’ll Actually Be Doing
You’ll be right in the thick of the action on the line. We need people who can keep their cool when the kitchen gets busy and deliver great food every time. Your day-to-day will look like:
- Prepping stations, following recipes, cooking, and plating orders beautifully.
- Working the flat top, sauté pans, open flames, and broilers.
- Using your knife skills to whip up soups and sauces from scratch.
- Keeping your station organized and clean (and yes, helping out with dishwashing when needed—we’re a team!).
What We Need From You
- Experience: You need at least 6 months of cooking experience under your belt, ideally at a high-end hotel, resort, or private club.
- Skills: Good basic knife skills, a solid understanding of proper seasoning, and the ability to accurately measure ingredients.
- The Extras: You’ll need basic verbal English to communicate with the team, and you’ll need to grab a West Virginia food handler’s card (we can help you figure that out).
- Schedule: Resort life means we are open 7 days a week. Shifts run anywhere from 6:00 AM to 2:00 AM, so you’ll need to be flexible and ready for mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Tools: We provide all your knives, tools, and kitchen gear for free.
