Electrician Maintenance Job in USA – Work Visa Sponsorship

Electrician Maintenance Job in USA - Work Visa Sponsorship

Job Position: Electrician Maintenance Job in USA – Work Visa Sponsorship
Company: Atomic Semi
Location: Lockhart, Texas, USA

At Atomic Semi, we are doing something radically different: we are building a small, ultra-fast semiconductor fab from the ground up. Instead of relying on massive, slow supply chains, we build the manufacturing tools ourselves so we can iterate quickly and push the limits of technology. Founded by Sam Zeloof (known for making microchips in his garage) and Jim Keller (a semiconductor industry legend for the past 40 years), we believe that smaller is better, faster is better, and building it ourselves is always better.

Our production team manufactures everything in-house—from deposition and etching tools to lithography. We fabricate the metal parts, build the circuit boards, and assemble the tools right here in our lab.

About the Role

As our Maintenance Technician, you will be the backbone of our production floor. We aren’t looking for someone who just calls a vendor when a machine acts up; we need a brilliant, multi-trade fixer who loves getting their hands dirty and solving complex problems on the fly. You’ll sit right within the production team, keeping our high-end machinery running smoothly and ensuring our facility infrastructure is always dialed in.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • First-Response Repairs: You’ll be the go-to person to troubleshoot and fix our heavy machinery, including Haas CNCs, Trumpf lasers and press brakes, tube benders, powder coat lines, compressors, and chillers.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Owning the PM program—handling oil/coolant changes, way cover inspections, filter replacements, and keeping track of service intervals.
  • Systems & Utilities: Keeping an eye on our compressed air, gas distribution networks ($N_2$, $Ar$, $He$), process chillers, and rooftop HVAC units.
  • Electrical & Plumbing: Handling electrical troubleshooting up to 480V 3-phase (no need for panel design, we call out for that) and managing wet finishing plumbing once installed.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an exceptional, hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment. To fit right in, you should have:

  • Experience: 5+ years in industrial maintenance with a solid mix of mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), pneumatic, and hydraulic skills.
  • Technical Literacy: Comfort reading P&IDs and complex electrical schematics.
  • Machine Familiarity: At least 1+ years of professional experience working directly with at least two of the following: Haas CNC, Trumpf, Atlas Copco compressors, or specialized powder coat lines.
  • Safety Standards: OSHA 30 certification and a strong grasp of lockout/tagout protocols.

Nice-to-Haves (But not dealbreakers!):

  • A factory service certification from Trumpf or Haas.
  • Familiarity with process chillers or DOAS HVAC systems.
  • Experience with gas distribution or specialty gases ($Ar$, $N_2$).

What’s in It for You?

We are an early-stage, well-funded hardware startup where your work directly impacts the future of technology. Because we expect excellence, we make sure our team is incredibly well taken care of:

  • The Essentials: Top-tier Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, plus Life and Disability coverage.
  • Time Off: Generous Paid Time Off, including holidays and sick leave, plus paid parental leave.
  • Future Planning: 401(k) retirement plan and weekly learning & development opportunities.
  • Daily Perks: Free daily lunches, dinners 3x a week, and a fully stocked kitchen with snacks and drinks.
  • Commuting: Great commuter benefits, including parking and late-night Uber rides from the office when you’re deeply in the zone.
  • Global Talent Welcomed: Full work visa sponsorship is available for qualified international candidates.

Note: Because we work with advanced technology, any job offer will be contingent upon passing a standard background check and complying with U.S. export control regulations.
