Job Description:

We are hiring an Operating Room RN for our busy ambulatory surgery center. The RN will be responsible for providing perioperative care to gastroenterology patients and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
We provide training and licensure support for graduates and also visa sponsorship for international applicants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients, utilizing evidence-based practice; Assists providers with patient assessment, examinations and treatments; Perform basic medical procedures under the supervision of a provider, including set up of procedures.
- Administer medications under the direction of the provider, according to the organization’s standards, policies, procedures, and/or guidelines.
- Assist in emergency situations under the direction of the provider
- Thoroughly educate and explain procedures to patients and family members (diagnosis, disease process etc.).
- Document accurately and completely pertinent assessments, interventions and outcomes for patients in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures and/or guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or currently enrolled in a BSN program.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- CNOR and ACLS certifications preferred.
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience as Neurological, Mid-surgery or Gastroenterology. (Preferred)
- Strong communication skills, team-oriented, and patient-centered approach.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care, including delegation to and supervision of other members of the patient care team.
- Basic computer skills required; prior experience using an EMR for charting preferred.
