We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor for our Contract Logistics division/site based in Kitimat, BC.

YOUR ROLE

The Warehouse Supervisor, reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager is responsible for the safe, high-quality, and productive delivery of 3PL logistics services to our internal and external customers. Main responsibilities for this role include the following and are related to customer relationships, financial accountabilities, and people management. #LI-Onsite

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain customer relationships
• Help with planning for new customer implementations
• Support Warehouse Manager in following financial obligations
• Maintain Time and Attendance system for agency and full-time staff (Kronos) on a daily basis following procedures.
• Deal with performance issues and consult with HR / Management guidance for complex issues
• Comply with GMP requirements
• Follow programmes implemented to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and use of the facility;
• Oversee all warehouse services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, maintenance, and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met
• Keep teams up to date with daily operational issues, priorities
• Comply with all Quality, Health, Safety & Security programmes to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment and property
• In collaboration with Distribution Manager, keep warehouse supplies stocked and re-order when needed using cost-saving methods when available
• Other responsibilities as may be assigned

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• 3+ years experience in Contract Logistics / 3PL / Distribution Centre / Warehouse environment
• 3+ years leadership / management experience with 10-15+ direct reports
• Managerial / direct experience with distribution centre processes required (receiving, picking, packing, shipping, returns, value added processing and sub-assembly);
• Knowledge of multiple production and quality systems ( ISO, Document Control, Lean, TPS, and Six Sigma)
• Diploma/Degree in International Business, Transportation, Logistics, or a related field
• Certification(s) in applicable material handling equipment is considered an asset.
• Experience in oil & gas, pharmaceutical or chemical distribution would be beneficial
