Controller-Government Contracting 16284573 Job Details:
Cordia Resources is seeking a Controller for our government contracting client. The Controller will play a pivotal role overseeing all financial activities related to government contracts. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of government contracting regulations, a strong grasp of Costpoint software, and a background in program control analysis to ensure compliance and financial success.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the financial management of government contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee contract administration, including contract setup, modification tracking, and compliance monitoring.
- Manage the financial reporting process for government contracts, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with program managers to provide financial insights and support program control analysis.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Costpoint software and utilize it for financial reporting and analysis.
- Prepare and submit incurred cost submissions (ICS) and other government-required reports.
- Ensure accurate and timely billing and invoicing processes for government contracts.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance financial controls and efficiency.
- Provide leadership and supervision to the finance team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA a plus).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a financial leadership role in government contracting.
- Strong Costpoint software expertise and proficiency.
- Extensive background in contract administration and compliance.
- Program control analysis experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and DFAR (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation) requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
