We are currently looking for Dairy Farm Workers to join our team in Canada. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and growing farm with a great reputation in the local area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily care of our dairy cows, ensuring their comfort, health, and well-being.

The successful candidate will also have a strong understanding of all aspects of dairy farming, including management and animal husbandry. They will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the milking parlor and barns, as well as ensuring proper animal welfare practices are followed. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established farm in Canada that offers great benefits, including several vacation days each year, and vacation pay after 10 years with over 5 years of on-farm experience to a maximum of 20 days per calendar year.

Responsibilities:

1. Feeding, watering and monitoring dairy cows on a daily basis
2. Maintaining cleanliness of barns and pens
3. Monitoring cow health and administering medication as needed
4. Collecting milk from cows and testing it for quality
5. Maintaining records of all farm activities
6. Operating farm machinery including tractors, loaders and other equipment
7. Monitoring pastures, hay fields, silage piles for proper nutrition levels
8. Assisting with breeding programs
9. Performing general maintenance tasks such as fence repairs

Requirements:

• Previous experience working on a dairy farm is preferred but not required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Knowledge of basic animal care practices
