Maintenance Worker/Skilled Labour Job Details:
Our client based in Falconbridge is currently seeking applicants to help with various skilled Labour tasks/maintenance work. We are searching for motivated and reliable individuals to work in surface mining operations performing labour duties. If you are looking to get your foot in the door in the mining industry or obtain an entry-level job, this is for you! Please note that there are mandatory requirements for this position, see below.
Responsibilities:
- Fueling of heavy equipment and vehicles
- Off loading rail cars
- Road maintenance
- Painting
- Heavy equipment spotting
- Sorting recycling materials and Industrial waste (ie. wood, metal, plastics)
- General cleanup
- Aiding with crushing and screening/ lancing
Experience/ Skills/ Attributes:
- Valid G2 or G driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Bending, crouching, and kneeling
- Work boots, hard hat, glasses, gloves and coveralls
- Follow all required safety procedures
- Ability to work in all weather environments
Requirements:
We will provide you with all the necessary training and certifications required for this position.
You will also need the following to be considered for this role:
- Own vehicle *required*
- Valid G2 or G driver’s license *required*
- Clean Abstract *required*
- Pre Employment drug test *required*
- Criminal Record Check *required*
Schedule:
- Rotation Schedule
- Additional hours may be required
- Opportunity for overtime
