Reporting to the Director, North America Regulatory the Manager, Regulatory, International Registrations will be responsible for Nutrien’s International Registrations Portfolio (including fertilizers, biostimulants, adjuvants and crop protection). This position requires an experienced, multi-faceted leader to support international registrations, track status, communicate across organizational hierarchy, identify risk, support solution development and collaborate frequently with internal and external stakeholders.

What you will do:

  • Evaluate, prioritize, communicate and collaborate while managing multiple registrations globally across the enterprise to support the business strategy
  • Maintain current international registrations (including South and Central America, North America (Mexico), Caribbean, Africa and the EU)
  • Work closely with third party registration consultants, legal firms, regulatory authorities and others around the world to develop appropriate regulatory strategy and support the registration process by providing required documentations (Certificate of analysis, certificate of registration, certificate of free sale, SDS, studies, claims, etc.)
  • Maintain a solid understanding of product specifications to support the range of country specific requirements in a compliant manner
  • Develop creative solutions to manage conflicting requirements between countries
  • Lead documentation review and inputs including labels, SDS, specifications, registration dossier, etc.
  • Responsible for continuous monitoring and tracking of international registrations
  • Maintain a database of regulatory requirements by country and product type
  • Responsible to organize and update registration dossiers
  • Apply for registration of new active compounds and end use products, including: arranging relevant laboratory studies, certificates, documents and dossiers
  • Lead International regulatory specialist(s)including assignment of duties, delegation of authority, mentoring, coaching and performance evaluation
  • Develop processes and templates to support efficiency of international registrations
  • Participate in governmental and/or industry working groups and associations
  • Participate in and monitor activities of task force groups supporting company products, causes and concerns
  • Provide support for International TM registrations and renewals interpreting regulatory rules and requirements including ensuring labeling requirements for export and compliance
  • Interact and communicate with other areas of the company (such as International sales, Fulfillment, Legal, Laboratory and Marketing)
  • Protect confidential data and registration documents
  • Review services agreements and non-disclosure agreements
  • Support the business with the development and control of budget
  • Oversee all aspects of human resources including hiring, promoting, training and development, performance management, coaching, and discharging within company policy and regulatory compliance – partnering with HR, as needed
  • Lead and perform work the Nutrien Way – engaging in corporate, policies, programs and practices, including SH&E regulations and standards, to bring our Culture of Care to life
  • Perform other related duties, as required

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Entomology, Agronomy, Biological Sciences, Agriculture, or a related field; experience may be considered in lieu of education; Postgraduate degrees preferred
  • 8+ years’ experience in registration of agricultural inputs (fertilizer, adjuvants, crop protection, and/or biostimulants); 10+ years’ experience preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in a Leadership role preferred
  • Working knowledge of international agricultural inputs (fertilizer, adjuvant, biostimulant, crop protection) regulations and regulatory bodies (e.g. Association of American Plant Food Control Officials, ANLA (Columbia), SAG-SENSA (Chile, Argentina, Honduras), Ministry of Agriculture (MAPA) Brazil, Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction (REACH) of Chemicals and EU Fertilizing Products Regulation (FPR)).
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulations and requirements across multiple products, geographies and evolving regulation

Compensation & Benefits:

The estimated salary that Indeed, Glassdoor and LinkedIn suggested does not represent Nutrien’s compensation structure.

$97,760 to $175,080. This range is estimated for Remote, US. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition, we have a retirement program that encourages our employees to save for the longer term, with generous matching employer contributions. In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
