Our client is currently seeking an Organizational Design Consultant for a 12-month temporary to permanent position in Calgary, AB. By working for our client, you will be exposed to a large multinational oil & gas company, and be an integral part of the operations team.

The Organizational Design Consultant will offer strategic counsel and specialized knowledge for the creation and execution of streamlined and productive organizational frameworks. Your objective is to elevate the overall performance and flexibility of the organization by introducing inventive design strategies. The perfect candidate will demonstrate excellent consulting and communication abilities and excel in dynamic, fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough assessments of client organizations to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Work closely with clients to gain a deep understanding of their unique needs, objectives, and challenges.
  • Create and put into action comprehensive organizational design strategies tailored to each client’s specific requirements.
  • Devise and propose modifications to organizational structures, encompassing roles, responsibilities, reporting hierarchies, and decision-making procedures.
  • Evaluate and streamline business processes to boost efficiency, reduce redundancies, and elevate productivity.
  • Offer guidance and assistance in executing organizational changes while ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
  • Lead workshops and training sessions aimed at fostering cross-functional collaboration and boosting employee engagement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies pertinent to organizational design and development.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of implemented organizational design initiatives and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.

About you:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or Organizational Development
  • Adaptability to quickly alter and change course when confronted with ambiguous or uncertain situations. Advanced proficiency in project management, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex ideas.
  • Highly collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
  • In-depth knowledge of organizational design theories, models, and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using organizational design software and tools. Proven experience working as an Organizational Design Consultant or similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively. Willingness to travel as required, depending on client needs.
