Located within Innovation Place in Saskatoon, SK, you will be involved with analyzing and handling oilseed samples in the Analytical Lab.

Two Seasonal Lab Research Assistants Needed:

One assistant will work from approximately August 20th, 2023 to October 13th, 2023; another will work from September 4th 2023 to October 6th, 2023.

What you will do:

  • Analyze oilseed samples using NIR or Gas Chromatography or Spectrometry methods.
  • Operate laboratory instruments for sample preparation.
  • Using a computer to input, save, transfer and report data.
  • Maintain logbook, sort samples, and perform general lab maintenance activities.

What you will bring:

  • The ideal candidate has completed secondary or post-secondary education.
  • Experience in an analytical lab would be an asset.
  • Detail-oriented. This job requires great attention to detail to achieve result accuracy.
  • Be able to handle repetitive work.
  • Computer competent, demonstrated ability to work in a computerized environment.
  • Analytical, perceptive, and self-motivated.
  • A good team player who also has excellent communication skills.
