Mō te tūranga | About the role

We have significant a number of changes to our team within a short time frame and we are looking for an experienced nurse with a strong emergency background to promote, facilitate and provide education and support to our nursing team members.

This is a great career opportunity for you to share your clinical knowledge with nursing colleagues to provide extra clinical coaching and training at the bedside. There will also be the opportunity for you to mentor and provide clinical coaching to staff new to the ward and to consolidate ongoing practice for others.

Mōu ake | About you

You will have considerable post-graduate experience in medical nursing and have passion for supporting and developing the skill base of fellow nurses. You must have first-rate knowledge of the professional standards and regulations for nurses plus superior written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

It is essential that you are a Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate.

We’re looking for a registered nurse with strong credible clinical leadership skills. You will also have:

  • A current Portfolio (PDRP or equivalent) or be working towards one.
  • Strong communication, mentoring, and coaching skills.
  • A first-rate knowledge of professional standards and regulations for Nurses with impeccable practice standards and nursing speciality knowledge.
  • The ability to work as part of team in a collaborative manner

Utu whānui |Salary range

This role belongs to the DHB/NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Step 5 ($97,912 p.a. pro-rata) and Step 7 ($103,630) p.a. pro-rata of the Registered Nurse Salary Scale.
