Our farm at Applethorpe, near Stanthorpe in one of Queensland’s coldest regions, was specially bought to grow summer strawberries, allowing us to supply year round.

Summer strawberries are grown between September and June. At harvest time, pickers move through the crop, selecting plump, bright red fruit by hand and packing them into trays. Picking continues every second day throughout the season, with plants revisited until all fruit is picked and the plant is spent.

We are looking for people with a positive attitude who can commit to completing the berry harvest. You will need to have good communication skills, be able to follow directions, and prove yourself as a team player. Good performers will have the opportunity for further work once berry seasons are finished.

• Strawberry picking experience (not essential)
• Physically fit and able to work extended hours and flexible shifts
• Committed to getting to work on time
