General Farm Hand Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking to appoint a General Farm Hand to join their team located 25km from Mukinbudin, located a 3 hour drive northeast of Perth. This position will be working alongside the farm owner and will assist with the coordination, operation and oversight of their 5,000Ha cropping enterprise. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the operation of agricultural machinery and broadacre cropping is essential with training offered to the right candidate to upgrade truck licence and certification. About the Role:

• Machinery operation, including a header for harvest, spraying
• Hay harvest experience and machine operation essential
• Day-to-day farming tasks as you would expect on a large cropping enterprise
• Would be desirable to have good mechanical aptitude and welding skills
• Growth position for someone who is willing to improve their skills in broad-acre farming
• Training provided as necessary
• Equipment and property maintenance
• This is a non smoking workplace

About You:

You will have:

• A minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
• Sound knowledge of broadacre cropping operations and lived or work experience on broadacre farms
• Knowledge of agricultural machinery, chemicals and use of farming equipment
• Minimum of 2 years experience with machinery operation and maintenance, with fabrication and mechanical experience
• HR licence is desirable
• MC licence is preferable but support for training and upgrading licence will be provided

What’s on Offer:

• Salary: $70,000+ dependent on experience
• Hours: 8.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday. Overtime and longer hours during Seeding and Harvest – 12+ plus hours/7 days per week
• On farm accommodation: 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage with power and water included for couples/family or shared accommodation for singles
• Lunch and dinner provided during Seeding and Harvest
• Work ute provided
