Reports to: Parts Manager
Summary
This position is responsible for the picking up and delivering to internal customers. In addition, this role helps to maintain a clean, organized and well stocked inventory.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assists the Parts Advisors with pick-up and delivery of parts in the workshop.
Picks parts using pick tickets and deliver to technician’s work bench.
Retrieves and delivers tire packages from basement storage to technicians.
Assists in labelling customer tire packages in storage area.
Scraps and sorts warranty parts.
Assists in inventory counts.
Processes and tracks parts that have been placed or ordered.
Monitors communications and respond to off-site requests for assistance.
Monitors and reports all health and safety issues as related to the shop area or any location where maintenance is being performed.
Organizes and maintaining cleanliness and organization in parts warehouse.
Maintains customer and company confidence by keeping information confidential and secure.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Previous experience in an automotive parts department is an asset.
Valid Ontario Driver’s License and a clean driver’s abstract.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Must be able to communicate in verbal and written English.
Knowledge of health and safety hazards and precautions.
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Must be detail oriented.
Performs calculations and works with numbers to solve problems.
Ability to work cohesively with employees and managers as part of a team.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines.
Must be able to lift and carry products weighting up to a maximum of 50lbs.
